The laboratory exams are presented, after the written exam, only at the Cisco offices, located north of Bogotá, between February 13 and 15. “What is remarkable here is that we have a great opportunity for Colombian engineers to achieve this certification without having to incur additional travel costs. However, new certifications are planned at the centers in Brazil or the United States, for those who cannot participate in this session in our country, ”explained Javier Castro.

The Cisco CCIE is a certification that has more than 25 years of tradition and those who achieve it are recognized worldwide as leaders in technical knowledge of communications networks. There are currently about 50,000 certificates worldwide.
Currently in Colombia there are about 80 certificates. “All those who achieve certification have excellent opportunities in the labor market because they are recognized as leaders in knowledge of information technologies,” said Giraldo, who recalled that the endorsement of the certificates must be done every 2 years.
The CCIE certification and CCIE Lab can be obtained in different technologies: CCIE Data Center, CCIE Security, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Collaboration, CCIE EI and CCIE Service Provider.
